My Story

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog!

I'm a mom and a soon to be wife who enjoys spending my time creating delicious recipes. I am a country girl at heart who grew up in McMinnville, Oregon. I am a Utility Baker in a commercialized bakery, my job is right up my ally, however at home is where I have the freedom to make what I want the way I want it. My fiance works at the same company, which is how we met, love at first sight! On October 31st 2013 we will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary, how exciting!  My biggest customers are my guys, and when they are happy I am happy. "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach" right? Sometimes the biggest compliments are when we are sitting around the dinner table and I am hearing "this is so good"!, "what did you put in this"?, "mmmm" and then sometimes silence lol!
Our Family <3

And we cannot leave out Miley! She is our 1/2 German Shepard 1/2 Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is also one who loves to try out mom's recipe's, although not that often because that's no good for a pup! She however would disagree.

Here are just a few pictures to show you what I have made to give you an idea of what I will be sharing with you. I enjoy coming up with new ideas and sometimes taking the original's and putting a new spin on it. We will learn to make things that are easy, intermediate and difficult. A wide variety of choices is always a plus when feeding a family, especially when they are full of boys!  From the time I was 5 years old I was put in the kitchen with my mom and granny learning how to cook my first dish, scrambled eggs! I come from a very long line of women who were amazing cooks. I have been handed down recipes and created my own recipes. Trial and error is how I have become a great cook in the kitchen. I would have to say that baking is one of my passions, I love to make sweets! Being able to start with a blank canvas and turn it into a piece of art is the most exciting part, as they say "People eat with their eyes", which is so very true. If it doesn't look good, do you really want to eat it??
